Pumps & pumping systems

Process duties & pump spares

Industrial pump sourcing begins with the required duty or the identity of the existing equipment. PatLoc reviews enquiries for centrifugal, positive-displacement, metering and chemical-injection pumps, alongside mechanical seals and replacement parts. New equipment selection and exact spare-part replacement need different supporting information.

Send pump datasheets or existing equipment references. Define the duty and interfaces before evaluating equipment or replacement-component options.

Explore the enquiry scope.

  • Centrifugal pumps
  • Positive-displacement pumps
  • Metering pumps
  • Chemical-injection pumps
  • Pump seals
  • Impellers and shafts
  • Pump repair-component enquiries

Product families describe enquiry scope. Availability, technical suitability, documentation and delivery terms are confirmed for each requirement.

Where this enquiry fits

  • Process and utility pump enquiries
  • Chemical-injection and metering requirements
  • Mechanical seals, impellers, shafts and maintenance spares

Before requesting a quotation

For new equipment, define the duty

Provide fluid composition and properties, flow, head or differential pressure, operating temperature, suction conditions, material requirements and available driver supply. Include an approved datasheet rather than asking a source to assume the operating envelope.

For spares, identify the installed pump

Send OEM, model, serial number, drawing or bill-of-material reference and exact part number. Indicate previous modifications, required quantity and whether an original part is mandatory.

Buyer questions

Can an old pump part be sourced without a part number?

A nameplate, dimensions, photographs and an assembly drawing can help start identification. Suitability must still be confirmed; visual similarity is not enough to approve a replacement.

Can you review a complete pump package?

Yes. Define the pump, driver, baseplate, controls, interfaces and documentation scope. Engineering, installation and commissioning responsibilities must be agreed separately.
