Pipe & pipeline components

Line pipe & pipeline materials

Line pipe and process-piping enquiries are organised around the project line specification, dimensions, material and service requirements. PatLoc coordinates pipe and associated pipeline components as distinct material lines, with coating, inspection and shipping requirements included in the sourcing scope.

Organise pipeline materials by the line specification, service conditions and connection requirements. Line pipe is kept distinct from OCTG and drill pipe.

Before requesting a quotation

Keep the line specification attached

Provide diameter, wall thickness, grade, manufacturing requirements, end finish and specified standard edition. Separate different line classes rather than grouping them under one general pipe description.

Plan preservation and transport

State coating, marking, inspection records, lengths and destination. Include packing or handling restrictions that could affect transport and final handover.

Buyer questions

Is line pipe the same enquiry category as OCTG?

No. Use this family for pipeline and process-pipe requirements, and OCTG for casing and production tubing. A mixed project RFQ can still contain both.

Can you include pigging and repair components?

Yes. Provide pipeline dimensions, operating conditions, existing equipment references and the exact acceptance requirements for each component.
