Safety, fire & gas

Site safety equipment requirements

Safety, fire and gas product enquiries should state the site requirements and the exact equipment or protective function. PatLoc coordinates product sourcing for detectors, alarms, PPE and related materials, with approval, calibration and acceptance requirements identified separately.

Specify safety products and fire-and-gas equipment against the site's application requirements, keeping equipment supply separate from system design.

Explore the enquiry scope.

  • PPE and protective workwear

Before requesting a quotation

Identify the application and approval

State the site standard, required product certification, detector range or PPE sizing, installation environment and existing system reference.

Define service and lifecycle needs

Include calibration, inspection, consumable replacement, shelf-life or expiry requirements where relevant. System design and safety validation are separate responsibilities.

Buyer questions

Can a detector be ordered by gas type alone?

More information is usually needed: target gas, range, sensor configuration, environment, required approvals and compatibility with the existing system.

Does equipment sourcing include a site safety assessment?

No. Product supply does not replace the site’s risk assessment, safety-system design or inspection programme. Any specialist service needs a separately agreed scope.
