Before requesting a quotation

Define the electrical and installation basis

Provide voltage, frequency, load, cable construction, installation environment and equipment references. Separate ordinary and hazardous-area items clearly.

Name the required approvals

State the site classification, applicable approval scheme and exact certificate requirements. A broad hazardous-area label does not establish that a product is suitable for the specific installation.

Buyer questions

Can a cable schedule be supplied as one RFQ?

Yes. Include construction, conductor size, quantities, drum lengths, required approvals and destination. Identify compatible glands or accessories as separate lines.

Does an explosion-protection marking guarantee site suitability?

No. The responsible engineer must check the complete marking, certificate conditions and installation requirements against the site. The order should name the required evidence.
