Drilling & rig components

Drill string to rig spares

Drilling enquiries can combine drill-string components, bottom-hole assembly items and rig replacement parts. A useful starting point identifies the equipment and the specific function of each component, allowing sourcing options to be checked against a defined rig or drilling programme.

Review drill-string, bottom-hole assembly and rig-component requirements against the equipment reference, operating conditions and specified scope.

Explore the enquiry scope.

  • Heavy-weight drill pipe
  • Drill collars
  • Drill bits
  • Stabilisers and reamers

Product families describe enquiry scope. Availability, technical suitability, documentation and delivery terms are confirmed for each requirement.

Before requesting a quotation

Identify the equipment

Provide the OEM, model, serial number and full part reference. Add a drawing revision or nameplate photograph when the equipment has been modified.

Separate new parts from service scope

Specify required condition, inspection history and acceptance records. Repairs, recertification and field installation need their own agreed scope and responsible specialist.

Buyer questions

Is a photograph enough to identify a rig spare?

It is a useful starting point, but dimensions, equipment references and drawings may still be needed before a technically suitable option can be confirmed.

Can drill pipe and rig spares share one RFQ?

Yes. Keep distinct item references and delivery priorities. This helps identify which lines need OEM confirmation and which can be reviewed from a material specification.
